Job Description
We are seeking a Backend Developer to join our team and work on developing, optimising, and maintaining server-side functionality for web applications. The ideal candidate should have experience in backend frameworks, RESTful APIs, and database management. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain server-side applications and APIs.
- Optimise backend systems for performance, scalability, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve backend-related issues.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration.
- Work with databases to store, retrieve, and manage data efficiently.
- Implement user authentication, authorisation, and data protection measures.
Requirements:
- Basic experience or knowledge in backend development.
- Familiarity with backend programming languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, or PHP).
- Understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
- Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL).
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of version control systems like Git.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of server management and hosting environments.
- Experience with performance optimisation and debugging.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field preferred.
- Certification or coursework in backend development or programming languages is a plus.
